ULTRASONIC THICKNESS TESTING
Ultrasonic inspection is non-destructive testing method in which high frequency sound waves are introduce into the material being inspected. Using a 2 Mhz prove for pulse inductance, the pulse travels in the material and reflect back upon reaching the edge of material, internal discontinuities or any internal flaw that interferes the propagation which received by the transducer which translate the reflected sound in the screen of the instrument in a form of echo. This was conducted on the entire surface of the tank's plate to check the presence of discontinuities and thinning of the plate materials of the tank.
ULTRASONIC FLAW TESTING
The Flaw detection test was normally conducted on peripheral welds using full skip and haft skip method of determining the integrity of welded connections.


LIQUID PENETRANT TESTING
In this method a liquid penetrant is applied to the surface is applied in the surface of the product for a certain predermined time, after which the excess penetrant is remove from the surface. The surface is then dried and the developer is applied to it. The penetrant which remains in the discontinuity was absorbed by the developer to indicate the presence as well as thr location, size and nature of discontinuity.
METALLOGRAPHIC REPLICA TEST
This method determine s the state of micro structure condition of the material of the tanks. The prescribed procedure of method for metallurgical investigation is practically sump up using a metallurgical microscope in documenting the on-site condition. This a real time taken on-site examination,making an investigation area or points where severe corrosion was observe d or adverse thinning was observed at such portion a replica test was conducted.


HARDNESS TESTING
This method enables to determine the hardness of a steel and these data were used for correlation in estimating the yield strength of the metal plates and other mechanical properties of the metal.
BOROSCAN/ENDOSCOPY
This method enables to visually inspect the remote areas which are difficult to access using a borehole acoustic televiewer s which we called boroscan equipment. This will record the internals of tube surface up to 100 feet in length using a monitor and built-in cameras.
